The State Minister for Local government has today made an imprompt visit to Kagadi district

The State Minister for Local government has today made an imprompt visit to Kagadi district to investigate allegations about the appointment of Parish chiefs and Ward Agents with forged academic documents in the recently concluded recruitment exercise by Kagadi district local government Service Commission.

Hon. Victoria Rusoke the State Minister for Local government who has been flanked by both the commissioner of Human Resource and Commissioner of Evaluation and Monitoring   arrived at Kagadi district headquarters at around 8am to and held a heated indoor meeting for about 6 hours of serious grill.

The meeting has been convened in the office of the LC5 chairperson and was among attended by the district Secretary for service commission, LC5 chairperson, RDC, DISO, Acting Deputy CAO, District CID Officer and the district LC5 Vice chairperson.

Addressing Journalists shortly after the heated meeting, the Minister said that their ministry a few days back received many complaint letters by different whistleblowers citing irregularities of forgery of academic documents and bribery that marred the just concluded recruitment exercise of Parish chiefs and Ward Agents in Kagadi district.

Thus upon receiving this alert they resolved to swiftly swung into action and investigate the allegations.

Minister Rusoke has revealed that after interrogating the stakeholders, all academic documents of the appointed 105 Parish chiefs and Ward Agents have been picked from the District service Commission secretary and have been taken to the ministry headquarters for verification and scrutiny.

She has promised to publicly declare the report finding on the 20th of this month vowing to immediately arrest and parading before court all persons found to have submitted forged academic papers.

  Parents block Kasokero P/S HM from accessing school premises over drunkenness 10th Jan,2022 Kagadi As schools reopened today across the country, Parents of Kasokero government aided Primary school in Kyenzige town council Kagadi district blocked the school head teacher from accessing the school premises accusing him of incompetence. Parents accuse Peace Tumwine of being a drunkard thus neglecting school duties. The situation was brought to calm by the Kagadi District Education Officer who asked parents to put their concern into writing demanding for transfer of the head teacher. RIFT VALLEY FEVER KILLS ONE IN KAGADI KAGADI:  One person has died of rift valley fever in Kagadi district. Lillian Ruteraho the resident district commissioner Kagadi has identified the deceased as Justus Mugisa 34, a resident of Kibuku village in Ntoroko district. Speaking at the emergency meeting held today {Thursday} at Kagadi district headquarters, Ruteraho disclosed that the deceased has been a cattle keeper in Mabaale Sub County in Kagadi district. She has asked residents to be vigilant and calls for maximum cooperation in order to curb the outbreak. ‘’We should be vigilant and cooperate to curb the outbreak,’’ Rutereho asked.
