Kagadi RDC forces Police to release suspects arrested on allegations of Malicious Damage

Kagadi RDC has forced Kagadi Central police station to release four Suspects who were arrested last night arrested in Kyomunembe B Cell, Kagadi town council on allegations of Malicious Damage

The development transpired today afternoon after about one hundred locals of Kyomunembe B Cell Kyomukama ward, Kagadi town council stormed the office of the Kagadi RDC, Ms.Lillian Ruteraho in protest of the illegal and brutal arrest of their fellow locals by officers of police from Kagadi CPS.

In an exclusive interview with journalists, angry locals said that officers of  Uganda police last night at around 00:00am stormed Kyomunembe B Cell and started arresting their fellows from their respective homes accusing them of setting ablaze a residential house of  Mr.Silvester Bagonza a suspected witchdoctor whom they accused of kidnapping their children with intentions of sacrifice .

However, locals protested the move asserting they can’t accept such lawlessness to continue, blaming Kagadi police of conniving with the Witch Craft Silvester Bagonza and his Mother Tereza Birungi to torment locals, thus demanding for the immediate release of their beloved ones.


Also addressing Journalists, the Kyomunembe B Cell LC1 Chairperson Mr.Erias Bosibosi said that it caught him by surprise upon seeing police officers storming his locality in the middle of the night, and mbark on arresting his people without his notice. He identified the arrested as Friday Patrick, Abdul Kasaija ,Musoke Suwedi ,and Magara George all residents of Kyomunembe B Cell .


Meanwhile speaking before locals the Kagadi RDC, Ms.Lillian Ruteraho sympathized with locals , thus was compelled to call the Kagadi CPS oc operations Afande Aimai Peter Simon whom he instructed to grant bond to all the arrested suspects, asserting that it’s unfair to set free the suspected Witch Craft Silvester Bagonza and then embark on withholding the Complainants behind the bars.

  Parents block Kasokero P/S HM from accessing school premises over drunkenness 10th Jan,2022 Kagadi As schools reopened today across the country, Parents of Kasokero government aided Primary school in Kyenzige town council Kagadi district blocked the school head teacher from accessing the school premises accusing him of incompetence. RIFT VALLEY FEVER KILLS ONE IN KAGADI KAGADI:  One person has died of rift valley fever in Kagadi district. Lillian Ruteraho the resident district commissioner Kagadi has identified the deceased as Justus Mugisa 34, a resident of Kibuku village in Ntoroko district. Speaking at the emergency meeting held today {Thursday} at Kagadi district headquarters, Ruteraho disclosed that the deceased has been a cattle keeper in Mabaale Sub County in Kagadi district. She has asked residents to be vigilant and calls for maximum cooperation in order to curb the outbreak. ‘’We should be vigilant and cooperate to curb the outbreak,’’ Rutereho asked.
