Hoima sugar factory truck knocks 28 year old man dead in Masindi



MASINDI– A 28 year old man died on spot on Thursday evening May 20th 2021 in Siiba village along Nyantonzi road

It’s alleged that truck registration number UWL 911 knocked Godfrey Amanyire 28, resident of Masindi District and killed him instantly

According to James Wanichan the eyewitness, the truck which belongs to Hoima sugar factory was coming from Kinyara side to Hoima side hit potholes and lost control before knocking Amanyire.

Wanichan explains that the driver and the colleague abandoned the truck and fled, police towered the truck to Katanga Police Post, and Amanyire’s body was taken to Masindi General Hospital for postmortem.

Sunday Eyotu the Nyanntonzi subcounty chairperson confirmed the accident saying the remains of Amanyire are still at Masindi General Hospital pending postmortem, and burial arrangements are under SUGGESTE
